Our Team

Armed with a Ph.D. in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from Central Michigan University, USA and some teaching and consulting experience, I returned to India and did the ‘corporate’ thing – first with Hindustan Unilever Limited in various roles in HR and then headed HR for a young IT company. Entrepreneurship called and hence I set up CoCoon (www.cocoonconsulting.com) in 2000 to support small, medium and large organizations in their growth and transformation from a strategic talent management and development perspective. Early consulting work with various social sector organizations led to the birth of Phicus in 2012 (www.phicus.org), an organization which focuses on building capacity in social sector organizations and leaders.
ElderAid Wellness happened in response to a growing need within my own extended family that I saw – Elder aunts and uncles in Bangalore with children in other cities / countries who needed help / support; Children who travelled as frequently as once a month to tend to their parents; and worry on all sides. It is our dream to be the ‘proxy child’ and support seniors in fulfilling all their needs and aspirations!
As for the rest of me – I am a mother of two beautiful girls; I avidly bake, read and dance Mohiniattam, a classical Indian dance form.

The initial 16 years of my 24-year career were spent in BPL LTD, WorldSpace India, Toshiba, Videocon group at various levels in sales and business development roles. I then ventured into entrepreneurship by co-founding my first venture, FTD Infocom Pvt Ltd, in 2008, in the IT/ITES space. After a brief consulting stint with an NGO, I partnered with Vandana to start ElderAid Wellness Private Limited in 2015.After a Bachelors in Economics, I did an MBA in Marketing.

My parents live in Trivandrum, Kerala while I live in Bangalore and my other sibling lives in the US. I have personally experienced the anxiety and frustration of not being readily available to address my parents’ needs. It is my vision to take ElderAid to as many cities across India as possible so we can serve Seniors and support their children.

I am a passionate football fan, love music and the outdoors. I have three daughters

I am an urban planner and administrator with an extensive project management background spanning over twenty five years in various fields such as infrastructure planning, multimedia delivery systems and operations, policy implementation and customer support both in India as well as in the US.

I have worked as a Senior Manager, Data Applications for an indigenous satellite communications system that was designed to provide vital services and applications for rural development, e-governance, emergency communications, remote connectivity and strategic services. Prior to that, I worked in WorldSpace, a pioneer in Satellite Radio and Multimedia Broadcasting managing the Vendor Management Group qualifying vendors, ensuring production quality and providing material support. This position was in addition to heading WorldSpace’s Closed User Group Services that optimized satellite technology into information solutions for various governmental agencies.
I am married with a lovely teenage daughter. I am passionate about art, wine and dogs

An innate desire to excel and gain proficiency in the chosen scientific field (Biochemistry) propelled my decision to come to the United States of America exactly three decades ago. In all these years, the advanced degree (Ph.D.) I had obtained at the M.S. University, Baroda, India, formed the basis and laid the firm foundations for a successful career as a scientist and researcher in both the academic and industry settings. The inception and successful management of a small R & D consulting company, RCB LABS, Inc. over the past 20+ years has added a leadership role to my entrepreneurial skill set and in all these years I have been able to build long term strategic partnerships with clients from various small to mid sized companies.
My interest and role in ElderAid stems from my very personal situation, a chord that strikes very close to home. The growing needs of my elderly parents living in Bangalore coupled to their declining health prompted an awareness and an immediate demand for an organization that would embrace their requirements as a whole–a concept that would soon translate into being the very basis for this noble enterprise, ElderAid. It is my hope that ElderAid will not only provide the infrastructure needed but will also be part of ‘the extended’ family setting for the elderly in Bangalore, a concept that was so pivotal in keeping families together for generations!
I also love to travel; cooking/baking/entertaining take a chunk out of my calendar as well!

My responsibilities comprised of New Business Development via prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing software solutions / services and products and managing client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle.

Personally, I have several relatives who live in Bangalore with children in other cities and I have stepped in regularly to help them out. Therefore, when I came across ElderAid, I immediately jumped at the opportunity to offer help and support to Seniors on a larger scale. I am part of the Operations team at ElderAid.

I began my career as a Customer Relationship executive at Serbo Global Solutions, a BPO a couple of years ago. I then moved as a quality analyst with a reputed trichology clinic. A friend introduced me to ElderAid and in a week’s time I was part of the organisation as I did not want to miss a wonderful opportunity serving in the geriatric sector.
My father met with an accident in 2012 and had his legs fitted with steel rods and was bedridden for almost 4 months and that was one of the main reasons I joined ElderAid as I know how difficult it was for all of us as a family to deal with this challenge.
I am pursuing my B.com through correspondence from Mysore University (I began working before finishing graduation as I needed to financially support my family). I love sports and follow almost all the sports.

I have over 12 years of experience in direct and indirect sales as well as administration with a variety of organizations including Dell India Pvt Ltd. Through my work tenure, I have always been a keen volunteer in a variety of social causes; however, due to professional commitments, I could not devote as much time as I wanted.

I was introduced to ElderAid through a friend and I didnt think twice before making the plunge. Working with and serving Senior Citizens makes me happy and fulfilled as it is the actualization of my dreams of giving back to our society for all that we receive in terms of love, understanding and time. I am married, blessed with a daughter and enjoy reading and watching football.

I’m currently a University student, with a major in English Literature at Ashoka University in Sonepat. While literature is what I am most passionate about, I am an avid social media user and am very interested in using social media as a major marketing tool.

I plan on using my intuitive understanding of social media in conjunction with skill of critically analysing that literature has taught me, in order to pursue a career in marketing.

I completed my pre university education and started my career as a football player. However, for personal reasons, I shifted focus and began a corporate career. I have worked for two and a half years in ICERT Global, in the fields of email marketing, data analysis and quality checking . A friend of mine referred me to ElderAid.

I am enthused by the work I do here and am grateful for the opportunity to be of help to seniors. Football continues to be a passion and I play and watch the game as often as I can!
